กองทัพบกชี้แจงเหตุการณ์ชาวกัมพูชารื้อลวดหนามบริเวณบ้านหนองหญ้าแก้ว อ.โคกสูง จ.สระแก้ว ยืนยันอยู่ในเขตอธิปไตยไทยชัดเจน และการกระทำของกัมพูชาถือเป็นการละเมิดข้อตกลงหยุดยิง

เมื่อวันที่ 16 กันยายน 2568 เวลา 1430 น. กองทัพบกได้รับรายงานจากกองกำลังบูรพา กรณีเกิดเหตุการณ์ชาวบ้านกัมพูชาได้แสดงความไม่พอใจ และรื้อลวดหนามบางส่วน บริเวณบ้านหนองหญ้าแก้ว อ.โคกสูง จ.สระแก้ว โดยแจ้งว่าทหารไทยกำลังล้อมลวดหนามเพิ่มเติมจากแนวเดิมที่มีอยู่แล้ว ซึ่งเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวพบว่าทหารกัมพูชาอยู่ในพื้นที่เกิดเหตุด้วย

ภายหลังเกิดเหตุ กองกำลังบูรพาจึงได้จัดกำลังเข้าตรวจสอบ พร้อมประสานไปยังหน่วยทหารกัมพูชาที่ควบคุมพื้นที่ ให้เข้าชี้แจงชาวกัมพูชาให้หยุดการกระทำดังกล่าว จนสถานการณ์คลี่คลายเข้าสู่สภาวะปกติ

ต่อกรณีดังกล่าว พลตรี วินธัย สุวารี โฆษกกองทัพบก ได้ชี้แจงว่า ข้อเท็จจริงคือบริเวณแนวลวดหนามป้องกันตนเองดังกล่าวนั้น อยู่ในพื้นที่อธิปไตยไทยอย่างชัดเจน แม้ว่าปัจจุบันเหตุการณ์คลี่คลายและกลับสู่ภาวะปกติแล้ว

แต่สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้น มองว่าเข้าข่ายการละเมิดต่อข้อตกลงหยุดยิง   ที่ฝ่ายกัมพูชามีการกระทำที่แสดงออกถึงการยั่วยุฝ่ายไทย  โดยการใช้ประชาชนมาแสดงออก  โดยที่ฝ่ายทหารกัมพูชาเพิกเฉย ไม่ได้พยายามที่จะดำเนินการห้ามปรามใดๆ   อีกทั้งมีความพยายามสร้างกระแสบิดเบือนข้อมูล ว่าพื้นที่บริเวณดังกล่าวเป็นพื้นที่อ้างสิทธิ์  ทั้งที่จริงแล้วเป็นพื้นที่ในเขตอธิปไตยไทยชัดเจน  ซึ่งฝ่ายไทยจะได้รวบรวมหลักฐานประท้วงผ่านกลไกสากลต่างๆ เพื่อให้ทราบถึงการกระทำที่ขัดต่อข้อตกลงที่มีระหว่างกันของฝ่ายกัมพูชาต่อไป

Royal Thai Army Clarifies Incident of Cambodian Civilians Removing Barbed Wire near Ban Nong Ya Kaeo, Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province — Confirms Area Lies Clearly within Thai Sovereignty and Deems Cambodia’s Actions a Violation of the Ceasefire Agreement

On 16 September 2025 at 1430 hrs, the Royal Thai Army received a report from the Burapha Task Force regarding an incident in which Cambodian villagers expressed discontent and removed sections of barbed wire near Ban Nong Ya Kaeo, Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province. They claimed that Thai soldiers were adding additional barbed wire beyond the existing line. Cambodian soldiers were also observed present at the scene.

Following the incident, the Burapha Task Force immediately deployed troops to inspect the area and coordinated with Cambodian military units responsible for the sector, requesting them to clarify the situation to their civilians and stop the disruptive actions. The situation was eventually brought under control and returned to normal.

Regarding this matter, Major General Winthai Suwaree, Royal Thai Army Spokesperson, explained that the facts clearly confirm the self-defense barbed wire in question lies well within Thai sovereign territory. Although the situation has since de-escalated and returned to normal, the incident is regarded as a breach of the ceasefire agreement, as the Cambodian side engaged in provocative actions against Thailand by allowing civilians to confront Thai forces. Cambodian soldiers in the area failed to prevent or restrain such behavior. Furthermore, there appears to be an effort to spread distorted claims suggesting the location is within a disputed area, when in fact it is indisputably Thai sovereign territory. The Thai side will compile evidence and submit a formal protest through international mechanisms to highlight Cambodia’s violation of existing agreements.
