เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 4 กันยายน 2568 เวลา 16.00 น. พลเอก ณัฐพล นาคพาณิชย์ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ได้ให้การต้อนรับ นาย Zhang Jianwei (จาง เจี้ยนเว่ย) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนประจำประเทศไทย ในโอกาสเข้าพบ ณ ห้องรับรองรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ศาลาว่าการกลาโหม

ในโอกาสนี้ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ได้กล่าวต้อนรับและแสดงความยินดีต่อการเข้ารับหน้าที่ ของเอกอัครราชทูตจีน พร้อมย้ำถึงความสัมพันธ์ทางการทหารที่แน่นแฟ้น ระหว่างไทย – จีน และความยินดี ในการร่วมเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 50 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย – จีน ในปี 2568 รวมถึงความคืบหน้า การจัดทำบันทึกความเข้าใจว่าด้วยความร่วมมือด้านการป้องกันประเทศ และการจัดตั้งคณะกรรมการร่วม ว่าด้วยความร่วมมือทางการทหารและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ

รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ยังได้กล่าวถึง ความร่วมมือด้านการฝึกและการศึกษา โดยยินดี ที่ความร่วมมือครอบคลุมทั้ง 3 เหล่าทัพ และขอบคุณฝ่ายจีนที่ส่งกำลังพลเข้าร่วมการฝึกร่วม/ผสม Cobra Gold มาอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมทั้งการสนับสนุนการแลกเปลี่ยนที่นั่งศึกษา ซึ่งเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการสร้างความสัมพันธ์ทางทหารให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น ในด้านการแก้ไขปัญหาอาชญากรรมข้ามชาติ และการหลอกลวงทางออนไลน์ ไทยได้แสดงความขอบคุณรัฐบาลจีน ที่ให้ความร่วมมืออย่างใกล้ชิด และพร้อมจะสนับสนุนการประสานงานร่วมกันต่อไป ในส่วนสถานการณ์ชายแดนไทย – กัมพูชา ฝ่ายไทยได้ขอบคุณจีนที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการสนับสนุนกระบวนการเจรจาหยุดยิง พร้อมยืนยันการยึดมั่นในแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาโดยสันติวิธี เพื่อรักษาอธิปไตยและบูรณภาพแห่งดินแดน ตามกฎบัตรสหประชาชาติและกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศ

ทั้งนี้ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ได้กล่าวขอบคุณสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนที่ให้การสนับสนุนและความสำคัญต่อไทยมาโดยตลอด โดยเชื่อมั่นว่าความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทยและจีนจะมีความแน่นแฟ้นต่อไป

Deputy Minister of Defence Welcomes Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, Reaffirming Military, Security, and Comprehensive Cooperation

Colonel Veerayuth Nomsiri, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence, revealed that on Thursday, 4 September 2025 at 16.00 hrs, General Natthaphon Nakpanit, Deputy Minister of Defence, welcomed Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, on the occasion of a courtesy call at the Ministry of Defence Reception Hall.

On this occasion, the Deputy Minister of Defence extended a warm welcome and congratulations on the Ambassador’s assumption of office, while reaffirming the close military relations between Thailand and China, and expressing delight in jointly celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and China in 2025. He also noted progress on drafting the Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation and the establishment of a Joint Committee on Military and Defence Industry Cooperation.

The Deputy Minister further highlighted cooperation in training and education, welcoming the fact that collaboration encompasses all three armed services. He expressed appreciation to China for its continued participation in the Cobra Gold joint/multilateral exercise, as well as support for academic exchanges, which serve as vital mechanisms in strengthening military relations. On combating transnational crime and online scams, Thailand expressed gratitude to the Chinese Government for its close cooperation and reaffirmed its readiness to continue joint coordination.

Regarding the Thailand–Cambodia border situation, Thailand thanked China for its significant role in supporting the ceasefire negotiation process and reiterated its commitment to resolving disputes through peaceful means, in line with the UN Charter and international law, so as to safeguard sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Deputy Minister of Defence concluded by expressing sincere gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for its consistent support and attention to Thailand, while affirming confidence that the Thailand–China relationship will remain strong and enduring.
