ศูนย์เฉพาะกิจฯ ชายแดนไทย-กัมพูชา รายงานวันนี้ (9 กันยายน 2568) พลเอก ณัฐพล นาคพาณิชย์ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม นำคณะผู้แทนไทย เข้าร่วมประชุมคณะกรรมการชายแดนทั่วไปไทย–กัมพูชา หรือ GBC สมัยพิเศษ ครั้งที่ 1/2568 โดยมี คณะผู้แทนประกอบด้วย พลเอก ธราพงษ์ มะละคำ รองปลัดกระทรวงกลาโหม, พลอากาศเอก นนทรี อินทรสาลี รองผู้บัญชาการทหารสูงสุด, นายชำนาญวิทย์ เตรัตน์ รองปลัดกระทรวงมหาดไทย ด้านกิจการความมั่นคงภายใน, นายวรณัฐ คงเมือง รองเลขาธิการสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติ, พลเอก กันตพจน์ เศรษฐารัศมี ผู้อำนวยการสำนักนโยบายและแผนกลาโหม, พลเอก ธงชัย รอดย้อย เสนาธิการทหารบก, พลเรือเอก ไพโรจน์ เฟื่องจันทร์ เสนาธิการทหารเรือ และพลอากาศเอก วชิระพล เมืองน้อย เสนาธิการทหารอากาศ ซึ่งมีกำหนดการเดินทางถึงศาลาว่าการจังหวัดเกาะกงในเวลาประมาณ 10 นาฬิกา 15 นาที ก่อนจะเริ่มประชุมในเวลา 10 นาฬิกา 45 นาที

สำหรับการประชุม GBC ครั้งนี้ มีสาระสำคัญ ได้แก่ การติดตามความคืบหน้าการจัดทำข้อตกลงหยุดยิง และผลลัพธ์จากการประชุมคณะกรรมการชายแดนส่วนภูมิภาค หรือ RBC สมัยวิสามัญ ,การหารือมาตรการลดความตึงเครียด ลดระดับการใช้กำลังทหาร และการยุติวาทกรรมยั่วยุ พร้อมฟื้นฟูความเชื่อมั่นระหว่างกัน ,ความร่วมมือในทางปฏิบัติ เช่น การเก็บกู้ทุ่นระเบิดเพื่อมนุษยธรรม การแก้ไขปัญหาอาชญากรรมข้ามชาติ และการบริหารจัดการชายแดน รวมถึงกำหนดกรอบภารกิจของการประชุม RBC และ GBC ครั้งถัดไป

นับเป็นจังหวะสำคัญที่ทั้งสองประเทศ จะได้หาทางออกต่อปัญหาตามแนวชายแดนอย่างสันติ ยึดหลักอธิปไตย ความปลอดภัยของประชาชน และการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืน

Thailand and Cambodia hold Special GBC Meeting in Koh Kong Province, with Deputy Minister of Defence leading a high-level delegation to discuss security cooperation, reduce tensions, and advance border peace measures

General Nattaphon Narkphanit, Deputy Minister of Defence, led a Thai delegation to meeting no. 1/2025 of the Special Thailand-Cambodia General Border Committee (GBC). The delegation included General Tharapong Malakham, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Defence, Air Chief Marshal Nonsee Intarasalee, Deputy Chief of Defence Forces, Mr. Chamnanwit Terat, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Interior for Internal Security Affairs, Mr. Woranat Khongmuang, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council, General Kantapoj Setharatsamee, Director-General of the Office of Policy and Planning, Ministry of Defence, General Thongchai Rodyoi, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army, Admiral Pairoj Fuengchan, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Navy, and Air Chief Marshal Wachirapol Muangnoi, Chief of the Air Staff, Royal Thai Air Force. They are scheduled to arrive at Koh Kong Provincial Hall at approximately 10:15 hrs., before commencing the meeting at 10:45 hrs..

The main focus of this Special GBC Meeting is to follow up on progress in implementation of the ceasefire arrangement and the outcomes of the Extraordinary Regional Border Committee (RBC) meetings. They will also discuss measures to de-escalate tension, military de-escalation, measures to de-escalate provocative rhetoric, as well as measures to restore mutual confidence. They will also explore practical cooperation, such as humanitarian demining, combatting transnational crime, and matters relating to border management. They will further determine the framework of tasks for the next round of RBC and GBC meetings.

This is a critical opportunity for the two countries to find a peaceful solution to border issues, based on the principles of sovereignty, the safety and security of the people, and stable and sustainable coexistence.
